Blog #3 Sapat na Pagkain Karapatan Natin

Sapat na Pagkain, Karapatan Natin!

This year’s Nutrition Month theme really struck me, "Food and Nutrition Security, Maging Priority! Sapat na Pagkain, Karapatan Natin!”

It reminds me that food is not just about eating three times a day. It’s about having safe and healthy meals that give us strength. Sadly, many Filipinos still experience hunger, and that’s why this advocacy is important. Food should be seen as a right that everyone deserves. The goal is to make sure every Filipino has enough nutritious food and to raise awareness about why food security should be a priority in our families and communities.I was happy to join some activities in our school’s Nutrition Month celebration. I took part in the Nutri Jingle, which was a fun way to spread the message of healthy eating.

We also joined the Cooking Fest, where I learned how food can be both delicious and nutritious. These experiences made me realize that promoting nutrition can be fun and meaningful at the same time.Joining these activities opened my eyes to how small actions can make a difference. I can help by avoiding food waste, choosing healthier meals, and sharing when I have extra. Food is more than what we eat each day. It is a blessing, a source of strength, and a right for everyone.

If we all do our part, we can move closer to a community where no one goes hungry. Truly, sapat na pagkain ay karapatan nating lahat.
