Blog #2 A letter to Mr. President

A Letter to Pres. Marcos Jr.

Dear President Ferdinand Marcos Jr.,

I hope this message reaches you not just as a formal letter but as a heartfelt voice of an ordinary citizen who cares deeply about our country. First of all, I want to say that I appreciate the efforts you and your administration are making. Leading a nation is never easy, especially when there are so many challenges to face such as rising prices, natural disasters, and the everyday struggles of Filipinos who just want a better life. I can only imagine the weight you carry on your shoulders each but, Mr. President, I also want to share my worries. Sometimes it feels like the problems of the common people are not always fully seen or heard. Many families are struggling to make ends meet, students are working hard to dream of a better future despite limited opportunities, and workers are giving their all yet still live paycheck to paycheck. These are the realities that keep us awake at night.

I believe you have the power to make things better. What I hope for is leadership that not only focuses on economic growth but also on compassion, making sure that no Filipino are left behind. We need a leader who truly listens, not just from the reports of officials but from the voices of farmers, workers, teachers, students, and ordinary citizen. Mr. President, I write this letter not out of anger but out of hope. Hope that you will continue to improve, hope that you will guide our country with sincerity, and hope that you will remember that the truest measure of leadership is how much the people feel its impact in their everyday lives. We, your people, want to believe in you. Please show us that our hope is not wasted.

With respect and sincerity,

Jessica Jane F. Caldito
